The Firm
A brokerage built on verified supply
Demeter brokers physical copper, gold and silver between producers, traders, refiners and industrial buyers.
We work from the buyer's requirement backwards: commodity, specification, quantity, destination and timing. Where a requirement is larger than any one seller's allocation, we consolidate lots from several verified sellers, each under its own sales and purchase agreement and each priced on its own assay.
Every lot we offer has been inspected and documented to origin before it is presented. We act as disclosed agent. We do not take title, and we do not hold client funds.
Demeter is an affiliate of Samsara Aggregate LLC, which has brokered physical metals out of Central and Eastern Africa for six years.

Procedure
From requirement to settlement
- Requirement or offer. The buyer sends a letter of intent stating commodity, specification, quantity, Incoterm, destination and timing. Sellers send their offer with supporting documents.
- Documentation. The seller provides assay, export permits, certificate of origin and chain of custody, by email or WhatsApp.
- Verification. We review the documents, screen every party, and confirm origin before the lot is presented.
- Allocation. The buyer is presented one lot, or several lots consolidated to meet the full quantity, each at its own price.
- Contract. The buyer and each seller sign a sales and purchase agreement. The payment instrument is issued or escrow funded.
- Inspection and loading. Independent inspection at the load port, and shipping documents issued.
- Settlement. Payment released against documents and delivery in the agreed stages.
Compliance
What every lot carries
Assay tells a buyer what the metal is. Origin documentation tells them whether they can take it.
We require both before any lot is offered, following the OECD five-step due diligence framework and the LBMA's standard for provenance.
- Assay certificate from a recognised laboratory
- Export permit and mining licence
- Certificate of origin
- Chain of custody to the mine
- Company registration and beneficial ownership
- Sanctions screening of every party
Artisanal production is accepted where it meets the same standard as industrial supply. We do not handle material from World Heritage Sites, from Protected Areas outside the local legal framework, or involving any sanctioned party or origin.
